A hilarious effect in which the magician, playing a bit of a goof, claims that a blue can containing a spectators borrowed watch will magically float from one metal tube to another.

After very plainly lifting and carrying the can from one tube to another, the magician claims that he was only kidding and that he will magically make the can and the watch return to the original tube without touching the can.

The magician snaps his fingers and, sure enough, the can with the watch has returned to the first tube magically! Then, as a bonus, the second tube is lifted and a glass of water with a goldfish (not included) has appeared!

Not many magic tricks can be called a "Timeless Classic" but I'm pretty sure that as long as playing cards are still being used by society, the Rising Card illusion will remain in that category.
The effect is straight forward and simple: a card or cards are chosen and returned to the deck, one at a time the card(s) rise from the deck unaided by the magician. In a glass, on the table or even in the spectator's hands, the card rises inexplicably and erily from the deck. The card can immediately be plucked from the deck for inspection.

$19.95

A deck of cards is shown blank on both sides. The deck is cut and a card appears! Then the back of a card and then, right before the astonished eyes of the audience, ALL OF THE CARDS APPEAR! Then, as quickly as they came, the cards return to their blank state!

  • Easy to do
  • Resets instantly
  • Ready to perform Out of the Box!

The Effect:  Ten laminated cards are shown, each card has ten drink names on each side.  The cards are laid out colored side up and the audience member asked to mentally select one of the one hundred different drinks and then to turn over the card that their drink was on.  The magician then turns over ALL of the cards and scrambles them.  (Or allows the audience to scramble them.)  The cards are then laid back out, white side up.  The audience member tells the magician what card their drink is currently on and the magician, amazingly, can tell the audience which drink they selected.

Guy's book, Drawing Room Deceptions contains all of his best original card material, including routines from his lectures, videos and television performances, as well as a full description of his torn and restored card The Reformation. Although the material is of a variety of levels of difficulty, with some virtually self-working ideas, it does presume a certain amount of previous experience, so it is more suitable for amateur and professional magicians than those wishing to try magic for the first time.

Martin's Miracles has been one of our most consistent sellers for fifteen years and the reason for that is simple: Cardiographic. On Page 67, Martin Lewis describes an effect wherein a deck of cards is drawn on a large sketch pad and a drawing of a selected card rises up out of this cartoon. The page upon which this miracle has occurred is torn out and handed to the spectator. This trick has appeared on every show from your local magic club's to David Copperfield's TV special.

Martin Lewis started out as the resident magician at San Francisco's famous Magic Cellar and then graduated to revue shows in Las Vegas and Reno and finally cruise ships. The many close-up, platform and stage effects that were honed to perfection in these demanding venues have been collected together in Martin's Miracles. Succeeding in all of these areas requires an extraordinary amount of commercial material. His jumbo monte routine (Sidewalk Shuffle, Page 95) is another modern classic. Today, hundreds of full-time pros around the world are performing this knock-your-socks-off material.

Written and illustrated by Martin's Masters Fellowship winning father Eric Lewis and with a curious introduction written by Harry Anderson.

"I loved everything about the book and you will too if you like commercial, offbeat 'A' material."--Rick Johnsson - Linking Ring magazine

"A great book. Martin's Miracles deserves the highest recommendation."--Michael Weber - Inside Magic
