Effect:

The performer calmly walks onto the stage. In one hand he carries a folding chair. The other hand holds a large curtain suspended from a rod, and this is propped up against his shoulder as he walks. The performer moves to the center of the stage and unfolds the chair in front of him. He now drapes the curtain in front of the chair, but holds it just above the stage level, so the audience has a clear view underneath the chair. The magician raises the curtain high enough so that the entire chair is visible, and then lowers it so that the chair is once again covered for just a moment. Now in a startling climax, the curtain is immediately dropped, revealing a child standing on what was just an empty chair!

Martin's Miracles

Martin's Miracles has been one of our most consistent sellers for fifteen years and the reason for that is simple: Cardiographic. On Page 67, Martin Lewis describes an effect wherein a deck of cards is drawn on a large sketch pad and a drawing of a selected card rises up out of this cartoon. Eye Exam

It's two... two... two tricks in one. You can perform it as a card revelation or a packet trick.

Performed as a packet trick with the theme of a vision test, a four of a kind is shown. The spectator is asked which card was face down, they say, none. The cards are shown and the Heart is face down. One at a time the remaining cards turn face down (showing a red back). Then all the cards are face up again. To test their color vision, they are asked to name the back color of the cards (red). All the backs are seen to have blue backs. To test their vision retention, one card is pocketed, but four cards are shown. The cards are turned face down, and the spectator is asked to read the top line (an eye chart is printed in bold black letters on the backs of all four cards which are examinable!)

As a card revelation, the spectator selects a card (Force). After several failed tries the magician asks for the name of the selected card and to make sure the card was seen correctly, an eye exam is given. The trick then finishes as before and the name of the selected card is seen printed on the eye chart!

Eye Exam is very easy to do (if you can hold two card together as one, that's all you need to do!)

Flash Dice

Effect :

Six dice are placed into a small case at random and covered with a lid and shaken.
When the lid is removed, the dice are lined up in order from 1 to 6. With another shake, the order of the dice reverses (6 to 1).
The magician makes a prediction on a slip of paper. The spectator is asked to throw the dice on the table and count the number of spots showing, adding them together. The dice are replaced into the case and shaken. The number of spots which now appear on the dice are added to the previous total. The result matches the prediction.
Finally the spectator picks out one of the six dice. The remaining five are replaced into the case and shaken once again. Hey presto - All the dice in the case show the same number as the die the spectator selected.

The Third Fastest Card Trick in the World

A card is selected, signed, and returned to the deck. In a split second, the magician spreads the deck and states he has found the card. But, it is not. After three failed attempts, the wrong selections turn into the right one. It is a very simple entertaining routine that even a child can perform.

Losing Control

A card is touched, shown, and placed very fairly back into the middle of the deck. With a snap of the fingers, it is now on top of the deck. This control is also taught visually on the LOSING CONTROL CD-Rom.

Slap that Ace

The spectator cuts four packets trying to find the four aces. The attempt fails but the magician takes the four cards and slaps them onto the deck. Magically, they change into the four aces. This routine takes advantage of a great Edward Marlo move that is rarely used.
