Not many magic tricks can be called a "Timeless Classic" but I'm pretty sure that as long as playing cards are still being used by society, the Rising Card illusion will remain in that category.
The effect is straight forward and simple: a card or cards are chosen and returned to the deck, one at a time the card(s) rise from the deck unaided by the magician. In a glass, on the table or even in the spectator's hands, the card rises inexplicably and erily from the deck. The card can immediately be plucked from the deck for inspection.
Although there are many "Card Rise Decks" available for sale in the magic market, it's our not-so-humble opinion that the Galdini model, available at Grand Illusions, is the finest currently available.
