Wooden They Match

Twelve wooden chips are shown to the audience, some have red logos on their face, some have black logos on their face. Also, some have butterflies on their backs and some have shamrocks on their backs.

The chips are separated into two even stacks, each stack containing some reds, some blacks, some shamrocks and some butterflies. The audience is asked mix each pile thoroughly into a random order.

Even though the audience mixed the chips, when the two stacks are placed next to each other, the chips at the top of each pile all inexplicably match. No matter how they try, the audience is unable to recreate the match!
